• January

You’re being swept ahead by a tide of events, but they’re taking you in a direction that doesn’t interest you. You know you’re lucky for being given the chance and you have no intention of appearing ungrateful, but you would happily give your place to someone else if you could. Try to ignore well-meant but misguided advice. Do what is right for you.

Use your potential when it is relevant instead of saving it for the future. During the final months of 2015 you had Jupiter (the bringer of good fortune) in your sign, but it’s possible that you didn’t take up the opportunities it offered. You could have had every one of them if you wished — luckily you still can until early September. Make this the year when you finally step outside your regular routine.

This can be hard, especially since you are not used to taking risks, and there will be times in January and April when you feel a little uncertain. Don’t fret: Jupiter can be a little wild, but its influence is always for the best.

This is an exciting time for your personal life. While a new love affair is possible, it’s more likely that you recognise your own needs and desires. Why put up with less when you can have more? Don’t keep your feelings to yourself and allow your heart to speak freely. Early September brings the final push to break away from old patterns. From now on, hope for everything to be bigger, better and more passionate.

At work, your abilities are given full recognition around June. Don’t harbour any fears in your financial affairs — Jupiter will take care of that. As the planet leaves your sign, its next role is to look after your money.
