  • How to make a fishtail braid?

Not only is the fishtail braid a red carpet favourite, it’s super easy to hack. You can go as messy or clean as you want, and the result will still be fabulous.

Tie your hair in a ponytail at the base of your neck. Use an elastic hair tie that you can cut away when you’re done with the braid.

Divide your hair into two sections. For clarity, let’s name them sides A and B.

Take a small section of hair from side A and take it across to the side B, adding the strand to the section.

Repeat the same with a section of hair from side B to side A.

Continue doing this, while tightening the overlapped sections and making sure that all the smaller strands from either sides are taken into the braid.

When you reach the end, tie it with an elastic hair tie, preferably transparent, and cut away the one at the base of the braid.

You can loosen the braid by tugging at the sections carefully to get achieve a slightly messy, boho chic vibe; or keep it sleek for a red carpet look.

  • How to curl hair?

You can use a curling iron to get the corkscrew curls you’ve always dreamt of, or put your flat iron to use. • How to clean your make-up brushes?

Often out of sheer laziness or lack of time, we forget to take proper care of our tools. If you’re guilty of the same, then don’t worry. Cleaning your make-up brushes will take you less time than you can imagine.

Wet the bristles first. Take care not to get water on the handle, regular contact with water makes the glue holding the bristles together loose. Then use a gentle soap (you can also use a mixture of olive oil and an anti-bacterial soap) to clean the make-up off the brush. After this, squeeze out the water on the bristles with your fingers. Leave the brush, or brushes, to dry overnight on a tissue paper.
