Lip Crayons

We’re in love with these super sized balmy lip colours

  • Packing hydration and colour in one, these jumbo sticks are streamlining our beauty kits.

More pigmented than lip balms and with greater hydration than a lipstick, lip crayons are a great multitasker to have in your bag. They save you from the sticky feel of a gloss but offer the same shiny look, so you don’t need to worry about flyaways making a mess of a perfectly done up mouth. Try out different brands for different levels of pigment. Clinique’s regular Chubby Sticks are great when you need just a hint of colour – we recommend the Intense version if you’re looking for a bigger pop. Revlon’s Colorburst is more like a creamy lipstick (the formula also leaves your lips tingling with a pepperminty flavor).

What we love about these mega lippies is that they never overpower and are perfect for just about any day look – from work to a casual brunch. If you want to play with colours, take inspiration from the look at Masaba Gupta and pair a cheery coral with lime green peepers. For a softer take on the trend, try supple, tinted lips at Balmain paired with slightly flushed cheeks. And don’t just keep your crayons for your cheeks. They’re great as a dewy fix of colour for your lips, or on your lids too, if you want to go for a monotone look, seen at Vera Wang.

We give you a few brands of long lasting chubby sticks that make it to our hit-list.
