How to remove stains from white clothes like billionaire domestic goddess Oprah Winfrey

I think we can all agree on one thing: Oprah Winfrey can do anything. Anything. If you’ve ever seen an episode of her talk show, you already know this. If you haven’t Oprah and Vanity Fair are here to remind you of her excellence at everything, including how to remove stains from white clothes and fabric.

More specifically, dog poo stains. That’s right, Oprah, the first self-made African-American female billionaire (yes, with a B) cleans up after her dogs.

“I’ve had to learn this secret talent over the years because I’ve had 21 dogs and no matter how well-trained they are, accidents happen,” she said. “The truth of the matter is nobody wants to clean up your dog’s poop, so I always like to do that myself.”

And you can bet Oprah the Billionaire (yes, with a B), has some seriously nice stuff that her dogs have poo’ed all over. So how does she keep her stuff looking good as new? It’s a simple three step process. She starts with club soda, letting it get all frothy and bubbly. It loosens the stains up and allows for blotting without driving the stain further into the fabric.

The next thing she uses — dishwashing liquid. And finally, go over the stain again with club soda to get rid of any stubborn marks to make them completely disappear.

This works on more than just dog poo. Try red wine, gravy and curry for stuff that looks as sparkly as Oprah’s. Remember to blot and then fluff for the best results.
