You may not remember the quiet proposal ceremony that happened in Goa early this year, where Akash Ambani proposed to his childhood friend, Shloka Mehta. But you would remember the massive Bollywood bash the Ambanis threw after that — which had the industry’s best stars decked out in their finest couture. While all the festivities were going on, we kept a close eye on Shloka — who happens to be the daughter of Russell Mehta, a diamond tycoon — to observe her sartorial sensibilities. But instead of wearing blingy outfits that had opulence written all over it, Shloka proved to be refreshingly simple in her taste.
Initially, Shloka kept her outfits and make-up really minimal.

And that includes the day Akash proposed to her in Goa.
For the big Bollywood bash, we saw a little bling on her.
And then we spotted her at the Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja reception, wearing one of Bollywood’s favourite designer duo, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Could that be peer pressure?
Finally, it was her mehendi look from today that really caught our attention. Decked in a royal blue lehenga choli with floral embroidery and elegant earrings, Shloka has managed to ace her simplistic style with make-up that’s on fleek, and might we say, we’re surprised to see this transformation.
