3 things we learned from Deepika Padukone’s Vanity Fair interview

Can’t wait for Deepika Padukone’s major Hollywood break in January 2017? You’re not alone. Vanity Fair firmly believes Padukone will define ‘Hollywood’s Next Generation’. The actor features in the illustrious magazine’s September spread, and we couldn’t be more proud. She shares space with young talent like Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby), Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror) and Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road). Safe to say that Padukone is pushing the envelope.

Pictured in a siren red Gucci suit, she looks every bit stunning and suitably poised to take over Hollywood. Plus, VF  got her to talk about her sartorial choices and here’s what we learned:

1. Her sense of personal style leans towards comfort: “You need to feel complete; you need to feel like you’re wearing the clothes rather than the clothes wearing you.”

2. Her favourite piece of clothing is, you guessed it, the nine yards: “If I had a choice between a gown and a sari, I’d wear a sari.”

3. Her most embarrassing habit: “To clean up whatever space I am in.”

Ah, if only more daughters could say the same. If only. Watch the full video here:
