Meet the couple that travels around world creating stunning photos with architecture

If you needed another reason to stare at your phone longingly, then this duo’s whimsical photography project might just be it.

#Although flying in a hot air ballon is one of the most enjoyable experiences you can have in your life, I must make a little complaint… It is pretty windy up there! You need to be really cautious not to drop any of your beloved items… Anna! Didn’t you hear what I just said? Hold on to your hats! ¡Anna! ¿Pero qué acabo de decir? ¡Agarra fuerte ese sombrero!

Based in Valencia, Spain, illustrator Anna Devis and architect (and storyteller, as he declares on his website) Daniel Rueda travel the world to find architecture that can be used as a prop in their quirky photographs.

What’s going on with the weather on Instagram these days you guys?! The other day we had black snowflakes, and today this red rain is falling so hard that some buildings are starting to change colour! If I were you I’d get out of there immediately, Anna… I don’t think carrying a matching umbrella will do you any good this time!

“It is not enough to just have an image that looks beautiful,” Ruede told More with Less, “It has to tell something without the need of putting it into words.”

#Today, while @anniset and I were looking for the perfect spot to shoot a #WHPISeeFaces entry we discovered that @EsOlympus is giving away a trip to Barcelona in order to attend to the #PlaygroundOpening. You just need to play with perspective and tag them in your picture and you’ll be coming with us! If that doesn’t make you smile I don’t know what will!

The couple spins stories around the architecture they come across and feature themselves as characters in the tale.

#Architecture is a lot more than just buildings and houses, as explained by @shoair_m earlier this week… Lampposts are architecture too! But not only that; they can also be a very useful way to stay safe when things get crazy, specially while looking for the perfect submission for the #WHParchitecture challenge. Hang in there, past-me!

The result is a series of photographs that use perspective, colours and shadows and make it so hard to look away.

Check out their work right here.
