Turns out, being single could be good for your health

There are many benefits to being single. Being able to eat ice-cream straight from the tub is one of them. Eating cereal for dinner is another. Spending a lot of time with your girlfriends is another positive.

According to a research by Happify, there could be serious long-term health benefits attached to your single status.

Happify cite an English survey which showed that 73% of people who weren’t getting adequate exercise were married. That’s nearly three quarters.

On top of that, they also found that marriage may hinder your chances of losing weight after surgery.

Happify also dispel the myth of the lonely singleton. Why? Apparently, research shows that single people are far more likely to stay in touch with, provide help to or get help from their parents, siblings, neighbours and friends–which is pretty easy to believe.

Turns out, being single ain’t so bad after all! Now, if you’ll excuse us, there’s a tub of Ben & Jerry’s with our name on it.
