8 celebrities who will not be shamed for breastfeeding in public

The stigma needs to be trashed

It's 2017, India has set world records in space exploration, but it’s still considered taboo for a woman to breastfeed her child in public. While there has been a growing awareness of the double standard in play with breastfeeding shamers, many celebrities have come forward to stand up against the stigma and sought to normalize breastfeeding in public.

Late last year, Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel joined celebrities like Mila Kunis and Salma Hayek in talking about why people still find it difficult to wrap their heads around a woman feeding her infant in public the way nature intended. And this Mother's Day, all-round Renaissance woman d allPadma Lakshmi nonchalantly uploaded a breastfeeding photo to her Instagram, inviting over 11,000 likes and a flood of supportive messages from fans.
