Hot address: b-bar

There’s a new pan Asian restaurant on Delhi’s culinary map. It’s an inviting space with high ceilings, peppered with chandeliers and giant Buddha statues. Pretty standard. (We’ll save the superlatives for the food.) The menu is mainly South East Asian, but the restaurant also has live sushi, teppanyaki and robatayaki counters. But first, go for the cocktails – we had the pomme vanilla and Saigon dream and loved both. We started with the chicken salad and tom yum soup, but now wish we’d saved more room for sushi, which we practically inhaled; they do a good hirame (halibut), shake (salmon) and unagi (grilled eel) sushi. And the chicken Caesar, salmon and avocado maki platter don’t disappoint either. Another must-try is the wok chicken (this one’s for barbecue fans). The lobster dumplings are melt-in-your-mouth good too.

A meal for two costs Rs 2,500 (approx, plus taxes). Level 4, Select Citywalk, Saket, New Delhi. Tel: 011 4609 8989
