You’d think a 5-year-old’s biggest worry would be a broken crayon, or something to that effect (bear with us, it’s been a while since we were five). But for Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of Beyoncé and Jay Z, it’s planning the launch of a beauty empire. No biggie.
When news broke that Blue Ivy was to become a business mogul in her own right, at the mature age of five, the first reaction was disbelief. Second was a deep session of introspection that mainly involved the question: What are you doing with your life?
One might argue that having hugely successful parents could have influenced her business opportunities, and for most part you would be right. But remember that this is Beyoncé’s progeny we’re talking about, and we’ll probably buy eye-wateringly priced crayons from her brand too.
