Wait, did Tiger Shroff just refer to his female costars as “padding”?

In a time when repeating ‘star kids’ three times in front of a mirror will spontaneously make Twitter activists appear in your room (armed with mile-long think pieces, no less), there’s one star kid who is unafraid to lay it all out without padding his words. We are, of course, referring to the wearer of criminally deep v-necked tees, Tiger Shroff.

Tiger Shroff is rumoured to star along with new star kids on the block Jhanvi Kapoor (Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter) and Ananya Pandey (daughter of Chunky Pandey). But if you thought you’ll get some info on the casting from the man himself, you’ll be disappointed on more than one account. In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, the actor magnanimously declared that he has no qualms about working with newcomers, mostly because he refuses to sweat the small stuff. “I don’t get involved with the casting at all. I don’t really care about the padding around me. It’s the script and my character that matters,” he said. He, wisely, excluded his more-established co-stars Shraddha Kapoor (Baaghi) and Jacqueline Fernandez (A Flying Jatt) from this narrative to avoid extensive ridicule.

Tiger Shroff has had enough of people asking him about the Jhanvis and the Ananyas of the world. Why can’t people ask him about how he prepped for the role of the tough but loveable gunda for the third time? Or the vocal exercises he did before lending his voice to Spiderman in the Hindi version of the upcoming Spiderman: Homecoming?

If nothing else, then Tiger Shroff has given us a mantra to deal with all our life problems: There are a tonne of things to take care of in this unfair world, it wouldn’t do to worry about the padding around us.

That’s all.
