Karishma Shahani Khan’s label ‘Ka-Sha’ showed us new ways to wear the sari with their traditional sari and trench coat combo at the Lakme Fashion Week this season. Oversized silhouettes and anti-fit were prevalent throughout, with a preference for Khadi, Chanderi and Mul for fabrics.
Saris took on a new avatar with giant ruffled edges and discreet embroidered surface details. The colour palette featured a range of bright summery colours, including yellows, reds, off-whites and emeralds. Keep the label in mind if you want to do traditional without going totally conventional.
