Kangana Ranaut stuns in Manikarnika’s first trailer

Kangana Ranuat kicks butt – both in real and reel life. While she bravely turned the spotlight on nepotism in the industry on a chat show a few years ago (and refused to back down since), she’s now prepping to be a total badass on screen. Kangana Ranaut plays the protagonist, Rani Laxmibai, in the upcoming period drama Manikarnika, a film that she has also co-directed. In the Manikarnika trailer, which launched on December 18, Kangana looks unfazed on the battlefield as she fights valiantly against the East India Company’s soldiers. Not just that – she shoots down a tiger with her bow and arrow, brings her A-game to some pretty intense sword-fighting scenes and looks completely comfortable on horse and elephant back, while we can barely manage 10 push ups without breaking into a sweat. #Fitspo

Though she makes it look effortless, Kangana has been training for this movie for months now. She learnt how to convincingly wield a sword, ride a horse and navigate the complex stunts.

Apart from crushing the action scenes, Kangana looks absolutely regal in the trailer.

Her attire, coupled with a quiet ferocity, is attention-grabbing.

Manikarnika, which also stars Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni and Danny Denzongappa, among others, releases on January 25, 2019. We’re definitely excited to watch Kangana breathe life into this legend.
