Best reactions to the discontinuation of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes on the internet

Just when the internet thought that 2016 could not be more meme-worthy, what with the iPhone 7 launch and Pierce Brosnan’s turbulent relationship with Pan Bahar, PM Narendra Modi decided to challenge that. Modi announced that Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes will not be considered legal, effective midnight. There will be new Rs 500 notes and Rs 2000 notes issued in some time. As a bold move against corruption and influx of black money in our economy, the PM has managed to send the country into a collective meltdown caused the internet to, not surprisingly, work overtime.

While there were many (and we’re talking MANY) jokes, a lot of people applauded Modi for TRUMP-ing America in the internet thunder stakes.
