Disha Patani’s Love For Florals Is A Cottagecore Dream Personified

Disha Patani

Disha Patani’s effortless wardrobe is proof that less is more. Often spotted dressed in easy-breezy floral dresses with paparazzis swarming around in huge numbers, not only is her style ideal for the Indian weather but is also super easy to replicate. It’s no surprise that florals dominate her sartorial repertoire given her penchant for everything cottagecore with coord sets and dresses taking up considerable space.

Sweetheart necks and mini puffed sleeves compliment her girl-next-door image and dainty neck chains add a bit of a personality to transform the look while retaining a chilled vibe. Side slits- yes please.

Next up we have a matching white set defined by tiers of ruffles and a centre slit. Striking the balance between dressy and relaxed, this piece styled by Mohit Rai screams Margaritas with besties. The off-shoulder crop top quirks the outfit up a notch and the beachy-waves make me yearn to jump on a plane straight to Andaman.

There’s absolutely zero exaggeration when I say that this is the cutest dress I’ve ever seen. An offering from the house of Saisha Shinde, this Victorian ‘esque mini dress is a demure take on minimalism made hyper-feminine. The knotting at the midriff adds depth and the surprising styling decision of going with gladiator sandals earns a point for well executed experimentation.

Back details are immensely underrated but when done right, the serve is major. The criss-cross tying lace up at the bare back panel is giving toned down sexiness but in the best way possible. If you dislike being stark in your dressing sensibilities, try opting for such unusual additions to stay true to your personal style.

Never knew how desperately I needed this crossover from Geet from Jab We Met & Disha on vacation. The wide-legged printed lounge pants paired with a chartreuse green crop top is just *chef’s kiss.* And the sneakers, hello? She better write a book titled acing the vacay drip 101.

Last up we have an immaculate prototype from the cottagecore contingent. Seems like it has time travelled straight from France in the Rococo times into the hands of a Gen Z’er who decided to shorten it et voilà. The sheer bishop sleeves and the deep V neck are both masterfully executed with the symmetric lace diversions lending a graceful spin to the same.
