How stars from Deepika to Alia chose to wear handloom outfits this Diwali

What better way to show your support for the handloom industry than to wear handwoven ensembles during India’s biggest and most-celebrated festival? And one designer who’s winning the handloom game — Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora Khan and Shilpa Shetty unanimously choosing his designs — is Sanjay Garg, the founder of Raw Mango.

At Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali bash, attendees Shilpa Shetty and Alia Bhatt both wore Raw Mango — while the former chose a resplendent orange and red handwoven sari, the latter opted for a sage green salwar suit with palazzo pants. Seen at Arpita Khan’s Diwali party, Dia Mirza selected a metallic gold dress by the designer.

Malaika Arora Khan brought in Diwali at her home today in a stunning red and gold suit paired with palazzos. Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone picked a red and gold handwoven sari for Hema Malini’s book launch two days ago. For her part, Neha Dhupia’s shocking pink combo will make you re-think your aversion towards bright colours.
