While March is bringing big releases in theatres, OTT too has got a bunch of new shows and movies that will keep you entertained. This month brings light-hearted murder mysteries, two courtroom dramas – one that opens your eyes to prevalent issues and the other offering a good laugh, teen dramas, heartbreaking documentaries and more. Get ready to go on yet another binge-watch fest in March with these new releases.

1. Murder Mubarak

When a gym trainer is murdered at the elite Royal Delhi Club, a wily investigator ACP Bhavani Singh is entrusted with the impossible task of finding the killer, when every member is a suspect. The film features a star-studded cast–Pankaj Tripathi, Karisma Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra and Suhail Nayyar.

2. To Kill A Tiger

This gut-wrenching Oscar-nominated documentary directed by Nisha Pahuja portrays the story of a courageous family’s battle for justice. Ranjit, a farmer in India, takes on the fight of his life when he demands justice for his 13-year-old daughter who became the victim of a brutal gang rape.

3. Big Girls Don’t Cry

This coming-of-age series follows the story of “a group of young girls navigating life’s myriad exhilarating adventures of independence, rebellion, friendship, love, heartbreaks, and dreams, as they challenge not only the norms of the school but society at large. Along the journey, each of them battles with an internal struggle to remain true to their own unique identities.”

4. Young Royals Season 3

The show explores the romance between two schoolboys, Prince Wilhelm of Sweden and Simon Eriksson, who fall in love when they meet at an elite boarding school. In the third and final season, their relationship is under conflict because of Wilhelm’s conflicting personal desires and duties, which becomes the overarching theme of the season. Will they get through it and get their happy ending? You’ll have to watch and find out. 

5. Queen of Tears

Queen of Tears revolves around a successful lawyer Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun) and an influential family’s heiress Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won). Their marriage, one that many envy, is now crumbling. But they finally find a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos, offering a gripping tale of love and redemption.

6. Damsel

Dutiful damsel Princess Elodie (Millie Bobby Brown) agrees to marry the charming Prince Henry (Nick Robinson) only to find out that it was all a trap set up by the royal family to repay an ancient debt. She is thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon and must rely on her wits and will to survive.

7. Ae Watan Mere Watan

Sara Ali Khan will also be seen as the lead actor in this historical thriller drama. As per the film’s synopsis, Ae Watan Mere Watan is inspired by true events during India’s fight for independence wherein a 22-year-old woman named Usha (essayed by Sara Ali Khan) played a key role. Usha became the voice that united the nation through her underground radio station to spread the message of unity, setting off a thrilling chase with the British authorities during the Quit India movement.

8. Ricky Stanicky

Three best friends Dean, JT, and Wes (Zac Efron, Andrew Santino and Jermaine Fowler) invent an imaginary friend Ricky Stanicky who becomes their get-out-of-anything-free card. 20 years later they still use his name to get out of situations at home for immature behaviour. However, when they finally get questioned about his existence, they hire Rod Rimestead (John Cena) to become Ricky Stanicky. While this initially works in their favour, Rod slowly begins to interfere with the good things in their life. High on comedy and entertainment, this one is a fun watch.

9. Roadhouse

Jake Gyllenhaal stars as the lead in this adrenaline-fueled remake of the 80s cult classic. Its plot? “Ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.”

10. Patna Shuklla

Raveena Tandon takes on the role of lawyer Tanvi Shukla in this courtroom drama and sheds light on the roll number scams that are prevalent in small towns and cities. The story revolves around Shukla, who despite being a lawyer who signs affidavits, doesn’t get the recognition she deserves until she takes on a case of a student who fails an exam after knowing she wrote her examination perfectly. It is later that she learns about the scam where students coming from affluent families and political connections pay money to get their marks changed when they flunk an exam. And this is done by changing that student’s roll number with a student that has passed with flying colours. Will Shukla be able to bring justice and fight powerful people who stand in her way? You’ll have to watch to find out.

Love courtroom dramas? Then you’ll enjoy this fun series that stars Ravi Kishan and Naila Grewal as leads. Maamla Legal Hai focuses on District Court Patparganj, where justice is served with dollops of humour.
