Easily the most unproblematic out of the Hollywood lot, Anne Hathaway’s ceaseless streak of successful films and an equally exceptional sense of personal style are solid reasons why she’ll always be our favourite. She wears the clothes, never lets the clothes wear her. It’s imperative we credit LA-based stylist Erin Walsh here, since her strategic fashion prudence has managed to strike a balance that has us fawning.
You see, Anne Hathaway has done it all. She transitioned from layering shirt dresses over jeans in the early 2000s to sporting newer trends like the oversized blazer, regency-coded corset dresses and more. When away from the sets, she’s either found sitting in the front row of couture shows or elevating the standards of off-duty clothing for most celebrities. They must not like her very much, you know. She’s the one to beat.

Anne Hathaway sat front row at Versace, wearing a breathtaking ensemble from the Italian house’s AW ’24 collection, which had just been shown on the runway. It was an all-leather, off-the-shoulder red dress with a corseted bodice and a skirt wrapped around the waist. Her accessories included patent leather red shoes, metallic bangles, and a little black clutch purse. Hot.

A denim under-bust corset with a deconstructed pant? Anne, you star. Effortlessly chic and in tune with today’s sensibilities, (even us Gen Zs could never), this pantsuit is easily one of her best off-duty looks.
30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards
In a clear, loud, unabashed homage to The Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway opted for a blue Versace gown to the SAG Awards which had off-shoulder straps and an oversized belt clinging to her waist. The Bulgari ambassador was also lensed sporting their iconic necklace with the gown.
Moncler’s Grenoble F/W ’24
It’s giving Mom, I’m a rich man. It’s giving I drink mimosas for breakfast (except when I have a skiing trip in the Alps, obviously). Luxe Belgian hot chocolate reserved for those days, silly! Lensed wearing Moncler’s cream-coloured creation for their F/W ’24 show, this sartorial outing by the One Day actress gives insight into her penchant for embracing the unconventional. It’s hard not to shamelessly fangirl.

The actor donned Valentino to the fashion industry’s most popular night aka The Fashion Awards 2023. Characterised with vintage art-deco aesthetics, the impeccably constructed floor-sweeping gown complements her angelic aura (only person I reserve this term for). A huge nod of approval for minimal accessorisation, works best.
Live with Kelly and Mark
Lensed on the busy streets of the big apple, while on her way to Live with Kelly and Mark, Anne Hathaway wore an all-white tweed duo, which boasted of a well-tailored double-breasted blazer, a matching short dress underneath and all-silver jewellery. The glasses – très chic. Miranda would approve.
Clooney Foundation for Justice’s 2023 Albie Awards
A Versace girlie through and through. Channeling OG supermodel glam after Claudia Schiffer debuted it on the Milan Fashion Week runway, Anne was spotted in the same gown, just a week later for the Albie Awards 2023. Reminiscent of Gianni’s signature whilst successfully borrowing elements from the maison’s new sensibilities, she does complete justice to this OTT number.
