Bollywood has become the face of this trend which is gaining more popularity each day as one of our favourite actors chooses to have parental bliss via surrogacy or adoption.

With Bollywood going strong on parenthood alternatives, normal people are also exploring their options with surrogacy and adoption with little hesitation. So here is a list of six celebrities who chose surrogate mothers to have a child.

After already having two children of his own, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan opted for surrogacy while planning their third. Gauri Khan, who reportedly did not want to go through the pain of delivering, welcomed AbRam Khan in 2013 who already has a tremendous fan following and is one of Bollywood’s most adored kids.

Joining the club very recently was Tushar Kapoor, who not only opted for surrogacy but entered fatherhood as a single parent to son Lakshhya. He was immensely supported by his parents and the industry, and was appreciated by one and all for having such a progressive thinking.

Adding to the single parent bandwagon is Sushmita Sen who adopted her first daughter Renee after going through a tedious legal battle. She underwent adoption again in 2010, bringing home another girl and is raising them successfully as a single mother. She turned out to be a great example for people wanting to fill their family and opened the option of adoption for many.

4. Sunny Leone

After having adopted their daughter Nisha only last year, Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber welcomed their twin baby boys- Asher Singh Weber and Noah Singh Weber through surrogacy in March this year. Having tried to have a family for many years, the couple decided to opt for this option and are happy parents to three children now.
