Varun Bahl has teamed up with Raymond to create an exclusive collection of jackets with the brand’s jacketing fabrics – think rich fabrics like cashmere and tweed. All with a very old-world feel. The line-up includes 30 menswear pieces along with four couture pieces for womenswear. We got a first glimpse of the line at an event held in Chandigarh. Speaking about the collaboration Bahl said, “Raymond is a brand that has long been synonymous with luxe quality fabrics. The collection I have designed for Raymond’s show is for today’s fashionable and contemporary man. I have incorporated various textures, bold checks and colours on exotic fabrics, lending the look a very vintage yet contemporary feel. The jacketing fabrics are diverse in selection as well as trendy and versatile, making them an absolute delight to work with.” The highlight? Spotting a very dapper Kunal Kapoor, who walked as the showstopper.
