From the sequel to the hit To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before to the new season of Homeland, here’s what to binge-watch this February:
1) McMillion$ on Hotstar
Out on: Feb 4
McMillion$ is a docu-series on the $24 McDonals Monopoly million fraud between 1989 and 2001. The series starts from 2001 with FBI investigator stumbling upon a Post-It note asking “McDonalds Monopoly Fraud?” It then quickly expands from Jacksonville to all the Monopoly winners to reveal that neither were the winners real nor did McDonalds have any money to give away, let alone the millions it promised as a prize.
2) The Pharmacist on Netflix
Out on: Feb 5
Another docu-series, The Pharmacist on Netflix is a true crime documentary which follows a grieving father’s investigation of his son’s murder due to opioid addiction, in four hour-long episodes. Dan Schneider’s search for answers behind his son’s murder in a drug deal gone wrong reveals into discovering one of the most deadliest drug rings in New Orleans in the 2000s.
3) Tolkien on Hotstar
Out on: Feb 7
Attention, Lord of The Rings fans, Tolkien shows a younger version of the legendary author and the build-up to him penning down one of the most poignant high-fantasy novels ever written. Nicholas Hoult plays young J.R.R. Tolkien and Lily Collins plays his love interest, Edith Bratt.
4) Who Killed Malcolm X on Netflix
Out on: Feb 7
This docu-series tells the story of the shocking assassination of African American leader Malcolm X in 1965 with unseen interviews and footage. Malcolm X played a pivotal role in the civil rights movement. It’s a history lesson in disguise.
5) Locke & Key on Netflix
Out on: Feb 7
One of the most anticipated series of 2020 on Netflix, Locke and Key is based on the comic book series that tells the fantastical story of three kids and their mother who moved into their ancestral house after the father’s death. Called Keyhouse, the house holds keys that can be connected to their father’s death.
6) Better Call Saul season 4 on Netflix
Out on: Feb 9
Better Call Saul shows lawyer Jimmy McGill’s descent into criminality and with the fourth season, his transition into Saul Goodman (played by Bob Odenkirk) gets more real than ever. Brace yourselves and prepare before the fifth and final season releases later in February.
7) Homeland Season 8 on Hotstar
Out on: Feb 10
The thriller series will see its end with the eighth season which will have 12 episodes. Carrie Mathison is still recovering from her Russian Imprisonment and Saul Berenson, the National Security Advisor to the President who is assigned to negotiate peace with the Taliban, wants to take her to Afghanistan for her knowledge. Watch for a cameo by Nimrat Kaur who plays the role of Tasneem Qureshi.
8) To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You on Netflix
Out on: Feb 12
We knew the sequel to To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before was a surety, and the wait finally comes to an end with To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. Noah Centineo and Lana Condor’s love story escalates, but not without twists as Lara Jean reunites with one of the recipients of her old love letters.
9) Chef Show volume 3 on Netflix
Out on: Feb 19
The third volume of Chef Show sees chefs Jan Favreau and Roy Choi cooking up a storm in an array of dishes, taking the viewers inside the kitchen, where they also collaborate with some of the best in the culinary business. The series is inspired by Jon Favreau’s 2014 film, Chef. It is easily one of the must-watches of the month for every foodie and chef out there.
10) Hunters on Amazon Prime
Out on: Feb 21
Al Pacino is ready to wow his fans yet again with international Prime Video original series, Hunters. The show is set in ’70s and sees Pacino on a quest to find a team to help him violently hunt down Nazis living in the city who are planning to start the Fourth Reich in the US.
