“As a designer, I would have to say that health and hygiene have become very important to me,” she shares. “During the lockdown, I realised while the floors were being cleaned frequently, other, frequently used soft-furnishings, such as sofas, pillows, and upholsteries were totally being ignored.”

This is a very real problem indeed; there are certain surfaces for which you don’t even realise the need to be cleaned frequently to avoid the spread of disease. When asked how she deals with situations like this, Gauri explained, “What’s great is that the Savlon disinfectant spray ensures our safety against germs and viruses! Simply spraying it on the sofa and cushions ensures that I don’t have to worry about germs, and the fresh smell it leaves behind is just the icing on the cake.
