Life has been pretty fantastic for Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas since their engagement in August. They were recently spotted heading to brunch at celebrity favourite, Nobu, in LA. And just two days ago, the couple took off to Mexico on a mini-break (from their hectic life of jumping on jet planes and partying with Bollywood). In Mexico, their relationship crossed a milestone as Priyanka officially turned ‘Insta-wife’ for Nick. And now, the two are in New York, for a #FamJam. Priyanka and Nick made time for a US Open match watching the iconic Serena Williams dominate Czech player Karolína Plíšková. The couple was joined by Nick’s brother Joe Jonas and fiancée Sophie Turner — famous as fan favourite Sansa Stark on the cult show Game Of Thrones. Mama Chopra, who’s been super chill about Priyanka’s unconventional relationship, also hung out with them.
On the day of their engagement, the Jonas family had taken to social media to declare their love for the newest member of their family with super sweet messages. Joe had tweeted: “I couldn’t be happier for my brother. Welcome to the family @priyankachopra We love you”, while Sophie posted an Instagram photo of the newly-engaged couple and wrote: “Wow. First I’m blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I’m so excited to welcome you into the family @priyankachopra. I love you both @nickjonas”.
With all this love and family bonding, we have our hopes high for the Priyanka-Nick wedding — we’re rooting for a Bollywood-style production with five days (minimum) of rituals and celebrations. Nick’s mother Denise has already tried a few bhangra moves to Punjabi tunes at the engagement.
Just imagine the sangeet for a second — Joe and Sophie dancing to Wah Wah Ramji from Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! would be epic, right? The wedding, we hear, is not going to take place anytime soon. But we have a feeling the Instagram videos are going to be worth the wait.
