Gucci has found a new home at the iconic Place Vendôme, Paris. The epicenter of fine jewellery, this boutique is dedicated to elegant pieces designed by Alessandro Michele. Breathing life into his poetic vision, the designer has personally sourced unique stones for his one-of-a-kind collection for the fashion label.
Drawing from motifs that are dear to the designer, Hortus Deliciarum embodies Michele’s eclectic ideologies and comprises more than 200 pieces that truly stand out. Viewed through the prism of a mythical garden, this collection is centred around a trio of themes—an homage to signature symbols of love, an ode to the king of the animal kingdom, and single solitaires redefined with maximalist allure. Exclusively set by Michele in what he calls “discordant symmetry”, the pieces channel and celebrate imperfection. The designer’s specially designed collection will be sold alongside Gucci’s collection of fine jewellery.
What sets this particular boutique apart from the rest across the world is its elegantly muted design. With antique mirrors, cabinets crafted from ebonised wood, brass detailing and monochromatic mosaic flooring set against white thassos marble, this boutique is a contrast to the distinct saturated shades Gucci is known for and has been particularly designed to add drama to the vibrant pieces both collections have to offer.
