Radhika Apte is the new face of skincare and make-up brand, Clinique India. The talented actress who was last seen in Netflix’s mini-series Ghoul, has decidedly chosen a more natural route when it comes her make-up and always encourages women to own the skin they’re in—a philosophy that the contemporary beauty brand follows as well. We caught up with Apte to find out more about her beauty routine.
ELLE: What’s your skincare routine like?
Radhika Apte: I cleanse, tone, and moisturise. I also make sure I drink a lot of water, get enough sleep, and use a hydrating moisturiser twice a day. And I remember to stay happy!
ELLE: What’s the quickest and easiest way you refresh your skin?
RA: I make sure I use a hydrating moisturiser, like the Clinique Moisture Surge Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, under my foundation for a sun-kissed glow!
ELLE: Your go-to make-up look versus your red-carpet makeup look?
RA: I love going with a natural make-up look on a regular basis. Red lipstick is something that can instantly get me red-carpet ready.
ELLE: What are three beauty products that are always in your bag?
RA: My lip balm, a matte lip colour and a face mist, like the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray.
ELLE: A beauty sin you’re guilty of committing?
RA: The biggest beauty sin is looking and feeling unhappy! When you’re cheerful, you just glow from the inside-out.
ELLE: How does Clinique’s brand philosophy fit into how you perceive beauty?
RA: I am somebody who likes to be natural, real and authentic in everything I do. I don’t like to hide anything. You need to own your skin including your flaws! I love the fact that Clinique is about being happy and natural, rather than being posed and pretentious.
