Post proving her mettle as a brilliant performer in Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt is set to make her Hollywood debut in Netflix’s Heart of Stone, opposite Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. Essaying the character of Keya Dhawan, a hacker, the spy thriller is slated to release on the 11th of August. Currently touring with the cast at Netflix’s Tudum event, Alia Bhatt’s bulletproof promotional style is racking up a lot of praise, courtesy Priyanka Kapadia Badani’s style genius. We’re seeing a whole lot of pantsuits, monotone palettes and effortless layering. Keep reading for a complete breakdown of all her looks until now.
Barbiecore Is Still In
Wearing Scandinavian (Danish to be precise) label Ganni, Alia Bhatt’s oversized, drop shoulder pink satin tuxedo is Barbiecore done right. Paired with a straight cut skirt and a V-neck bralette underneath, we’re loving the effortlessness and playful spark it lends to the actress’ already bubbly personality.
Vert Veracity
This has to be one of Bhatt’s best style moments in recent times. Having donned cult-classic label Hervé Léger, aka the purveyor of the bodycon/bandage dresses, this knit and peplum number in a rich dark green hue is supremely refreshing. Away from the usual servings of excessive bling and slits, Alia Bhatt really hit the nail on the head with this one.
Gucci Gang
Recently crowned as the first ever ambassador for Italian luxury brand Gucci, it was but natural for the actress to don a house favourite – this time in the form of a no frills, charcoal grey pantsuit. We’re also loving the elevated platform heels and the chunky ear studs by jewellery brand Viange as they collectively manage to tie the otherwise simple look together.
Magda Butrym
Known for their usage of 3D flower embellishments on the midriff and around, Polish label Magda Butrym toned it down this time, to stay congruent to the pared down mandate of Alia’s promotional tour. Lensed in a black vest and coordinating pants, the look is completed by berry lips and a couple rings. Minimalism done right!
