Five Of Ananya Panday’s Best Looks From Call Me Bae’s Media Engagements

Ananya Panday

It’s been say, a week maybe, since Call Me Bae premiered on our OTT screens and media outlets have already touted it as a love-child between The Devil Wears Prada and Emily In Paris (there might’ve been assumptive remarks from our end too, who are we fooling). From Ananya Panday just being herself in show to her enviable wardrobe, both during the promotions and in the show, the fashion we’ve been exposed to here, sure is unf*ckwitable.

Due spotlight on acclaimed stylist Priyanka Kapadia Badani, who’s mastered the art of encapsulating a reel-life character’s essence on the screen into their real-life engagements. There’s a generous dosage of sharp tailoring by David Koma, citrusy hues by Alexy Perry and immaculate tailoring from Prabal. Safe to say, the sartorial standards have been lifted and in way, have set a benchmark for others which may be somewhat hard to live upto. So, more good looks for us, not complaining.

Here are a few of our favourite looks worn by Ananya Panday recently.

Prabal Gurung

Ananya Panday

Bodycon dress? Nope, move aside. This Prabal number in a soft coral shade is an elegant frontrunner, especially when paired with the baggy, high-waisted trousers as seen on Ananya Panday. The fabric seems buttery and the tie-up detail is a fun little element used to spruce up an otherwise basic silhouette.

Alex Perry

Ananya Panday

Personally not a fan of candy hues, but this micro-ruched mini-dress is a promising player in her repertoire, especially with the peach coloured gloves and minimal accessorising. It’s high-street and red-carpet ‘esque at the same time, and that’s the USP, in my opinion.

David Koma

Ananya Panday

Cute, very cute. Tangerine is enjoying the spotlight as Ananya Panday gives a masterclass in acing the mildly feared warm tone sans any sartorial mishaps. The boots offer the much-needed respite from the inherent maximalism of the colour and add depth simultaneously.

Norma Kamali

Love me a sexy, well-fitted co-ord. This pinstriped number worn by Ananya Panday by cult-favourite brand Norma Kamali is soon going to be on multiple stylists’ radar given their varied offerings fit for actors, pop-stars and people in showbiz. It’s fun, yet conforms to the muted glam mandate, making it a worthy option for certain professional engagements.

David Koma

The netted details on this risqué David Koma dress do a fab job at building a focal point without going overboard and looking like fondant on a cake. It’s just so… well thought out and subtle, whilst being doused in simplicity. A moment by Ananya Panday, for sure.
