10 best bridal looks from day 2 of Couture Week 2016
Flowing silhouettes and embellished lehengas dominated the day
After Manish Malhotra’s regal opening night featuring Deepika Padukone and Fawad Khan, the festivities continued at FDCI India Couture Week 2016 with designers Anita Dongre and Tarun Tahiliani. Dongre’s collection called, ‘Epic love’ lived up to its title through its vibrant colours and brilliant saturated hues. Bhumi Pednekar took to the ramp in a sweeping black jacket embellished in gold. The luxury Bohemian collection that followed is definitely going to get a thumbs-up from the millennial bride.
Tahiliani’s collection ‘The last dance of the courtesan’ meanwhile was all about the sparkle. With a palette of pastels and rich brocade fabrics, Tahiliani added the finishing touch to his masterpiece collection with an intricate infusion of Swarovski crystals. The focus of the collection was lightness to add to the wearability quotient for the modern bride on the go. Sufi Kathak dancer Manjari Chaturvedi brought the title of the collection to life with a performance at the start and end, decked in a delicate peach lehenga choli.
