Who doesn’t love spending a day at the mall? With the holiday season coming up, one needs to constantly head over to buy last-minute gifts, the perfect accessory to go with that cute dress and buy the perfect ensemble to bring in 2018. But, when does one go? A mall today needs to offer more than just shopping—it needs to be an experience centre. We took it upon ourselves to find one that encompasses it all. And DLF Mall of India definitely does. With over 330 stores (out of which 100+ are just for fashion!), it offers plenty of choices for everyone. And ensures you will find whatever you want. So how do you spend a day in the myriad of possibilities? We broke all the must-dos for a DLF Mall of India newbie.
Start with a cup of warm coffee (perfect to alert you for the adventure that lies ahead). We chose The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, but the options are endless. They range from kiosks like Costa Coffee, Barista, Krispy Kreme (who doesn’t love a donut with their coffee) to cafes likes United Coffee House and Movenpick.
Now that the caffeine has kicked in, begin with accessories, remember those adorable trinkets you wanted to gift your best friend (or yourself) for christmas? Look no further than Pandora. If you really want to treat yourself, you could also purchase a timepiece from Kapoor Watch Company. Or just keep it casual with cute collectables from ALDO.
Let’s move on to clothes now. To start with, everyone is here and by everyone we mean Zara, H&M, Massimo Dutti, Marks & Spencer, Mango (yes they are back, and better), Forever21, Coverstory, the list goes on. We suggest, pick a piece and then search for the perfect one (need a velvet turtleneck? We spotted a few cute ones in Zara and H&M).
A meal is defiantly in order once you’ve collected enough shopping bag. With over 70 eateries in this space, making a choice can be tough. We chose Pizza Express for a delicious thin crust pizza. But if you are in the mood for something decadent, head over to Soda Bottle Openerwala or Big Chill. For as asian fix, we love Mamagoto or Chi Kitchen.
To get your beauty fix, make a pit stop at Sephora for an update on the latest lip colours, fragrances, eye pallettes, replenishing masks and everything else. We also have a soft spot for The Body Shop for their delicious flavours in lotions, facemasks and oils.

Still need a reason to go to the Mall of India? They have a spa. Yes, Aroma Thai Day Spa is a little piece of heaven tucked on the 2nd floor. For those who don’t have all day to spare, visit Kama Ayurveda or Forest Essentials to literally take the spa home.
For the athleisure junkie in you, step into Superdry, Scotch & Soda, or Gas to pick key pieces of this season.
Dress up your corner table with cute collectables from Chumbak or get that humidifier from Muji.
Indulge in a sweet treat at the Big Chill Cakery. Unlike the one in khan market they also have an elaborate savory menu, and the Avocado Tartine is the perfect on-the-go snack. For those who love their avocados in a certain way, you can head down to Big Bazaar to pick up the freshest produce.
