21 celebrity couples who love to dress alike

When you dress together, you stay together. Sometimes

By Sally Homes  September 25th, 2017

We always enjoy a good celebrity twin moment—from unintentional matching dresses à la Felicity Jones and Emilia Clarke to super cute mother-daughter outfits courtesy of Beyoncé and Blue Ivy—but there’s something extra special about seeing famous couples do the look-alike thing.

Along with our favourite international couples like Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid or Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Bollywood couples also know how to orchestrate a perfect photo op by coordinating their wardrobe choices. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan prefer classic ensembles in neutral palettes when it comes to red carpet events, though they have been spotted in identical track pants for those frequent long-haul flights. Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira switch smoothly from matching gym clothes to picking identical colours for a night out on the town.

Here are more of our favourite coordinating star couples.

21 celebrity couples who dress alike

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Until they announced their separation in 2016, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were Hollywood royalty with a fan following that stretched across the globe. While Brad and Angelina were together, they owned every red carpet they hit up, especially this headline-grabbing look at the 2014 BAFTA awards in London. Angelina looked sharp in an open collar tuxedo by Yves Saint Laurent as she walked beside Brad in his Valentino black tie.

Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow

Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow began dating after they met on the set of their film Seven back in 1995. Impossibly blonde and good-looking, the couple took it up a notch up when Gwyneth got a pixie cut to twin with her then-boyfriend to confuse the heck out of the paparazzi.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in 2001 GETTY

The musical love affairs of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spear was one of the most talked-about relationships back in the early 2000s. Everything the American pop sensations did became a trend. The couple's dual denim attire is still one of the most copied looks of all times, come Halloween.

Victoria and David Beckham in 1999

David and Victoria Beckham's relationship is what we can call an epic love story in every way. The couple is rock-solid even after being married for 18 years and are continuing to set an example for the rest of the world. Before Victoria became a leading fashion designer, she was a member of the iconic girl band Spice Girls and had a unique sense of style that blended perfectly with her then-football star boyfriend David Beckham. The duo's couple style has evolved over the years — from identical haircuts to making all-leather a thing, they have done it all.

George and Amal Clooney in 2015

She's a whipsmart human rights lawyer and he was renown for being the original Hollywood bachelor. George and Amal Clooney's story reads more like a perfect movie script translated into reality. Amal's designer heavy wardrobe is packed with chic choices from Stella McCartney, Armani and Giambattista Valli, while her husband can rock a suit like few other men.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner in 2017

When Sansa Stark of Game Of Thrones found love in the lead singer of the popular band DNCE, the news spread like wild fire, pun intended. After his break-up from supermodel Gigi Hadid, Joe Jonas started dating Sophie Turner in the fall of 2016. Joe and Sophie, when spotted together, are always seen subtly coordinated. Whether in matching caps, sneakers or denim jackets, the couple manages to look nauseatingly cute every time they step out.

Aaron Paul and Lauren Parsekian

The Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul is often found indulging in some serious PDA with his gorgeous wife Lauren Parsekian. Lauren and Aaron got married last year and are still very much in love, considering their regular affectionate posts for each other on Instagram. The pair has been putting their best foot forward at various events, whether it's showcasing their boho-chic style at the music festival Coachella or posing in elegant formals at movie premieres.

Johnny Depp and Kate Moss in 1994

Talking about 90's nostalgia without bringing up this controversial couple is impossible. Kate Moss practically ruled the fashion scene back then and Johnny Depp had become a popular household name. When these two got together, they made heads turn in every possible way. “I knew from the first moment we talked that we were going to be together,” the model had said. The couple played a very big role in shaping 90's fashion with their bold choices and risqué appearances. Oversized T-shirts paired with leather jackets were redefining androgynous dressing at the time.

Josh Hartnett and Tamsin Egerton in 2015

The Pearl Harbour star Josh Hartnett and English actress Tamsin Egerton welcomed their first daughter back in 2015. In 2017, they became proud parents to their second child. Josh and Tamsin are often seen strolling their kids around the park with their street-style game on point and when it's about walking the red-carpet for an event, they display their sleek fashion sensibilities to the fullest.

Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston in 2017

After the breakdown of her marriage with Brad Pitt, the popular Friends star found solace in actor Justin Theroux and the two started dating in 2010. After five years of dating, the couple got married in a secret ceremony in 2015. Both Justin and Jennifer share a common love for black, leather and ridiculously perfect hair.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian

When the reality star married the rapper at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence in 2014, the internet knew it had its next big power couple. Kanye West is single-handedly responsible for Kim Kardashian's new and improved fashion image. Kim and Kanye love to dress identically in neutral or dark palettes while they are jet-setting across the globe or just spending downtime with their family.

Prince William and Kate Middleton

Everything about the royal family is larger than life. When Prince William decided to marry Kate Middleton, it was the wedding of the century. The Duke and Duchess like to keep it simple with neat silhouettes in British colours worn with grace. Kate's old world charm blends perfectly with Prince William's disciplined style.

Jamie Hince and Kate Moss

The runway legend married the lead guitarist of The Kills in 2011 and amicably got divorced four years later. Jamie had rubbed-off his rockstar aesthetics on the catwalk diva as the two were always seen dressing up like each other's mirror image. The model has now moved on with Count Nikolai von Bismarck, who belongs to a Royal German family.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel in 2013

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are always seen gushing about each other and giving every one else serious #couplegoals. They're known for their individual styles but together, they are a house on fire. The couple likes to keep it low-key when they are out on their coffee dates but they sure as hell know how to clean up well for concerts and award nights, raising the temperature with that chemistry.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor

The Nawab and his Begum are undoubtedly one of the most stylish couples in Bollywood. Saif and Kareena are often seen coordinated to perfection, be it at the airport or at a fashion show. Blame it on their pedigree, but the couple is equally at ease rocking a red carpet in couture or slumming it on a private jet in their matching jammies.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Kapoor

When the eligible Bollywood bachelor decided to marry a non-actress 13 years his junior, it raised many eyebrows. But when the world was introduced to the charming Mira Kapoor, all speculations were cleared at once. Shahid and Mira Kapoor are the new-age Bollywood couple who are always twinning in style, from gym visits to dinner dates to front row at fashion weeks.

Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift in 2016

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston's romance was short-lived, but it was once of the most talked-about affairs last year. Everything Taylor Swift does or anyone Taylor Swift dates becomes instantly popular. This time the singer was found romancing The Avengers star who rose to fame with his character portrayal of Loki. The singer looked comfortable in over-sized jackets and hoodies borrowed from her British boyfriend.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid

The former 1D member met the supermodel at the Victoria Secret's after-party in 2015 and started dating shortly after. Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are in love and they aren't afraid to show it — both sport accessories with each other's initials and the model was recently seen wearing jeans with 'Zayn' embroidered on her back pockets. Their style as a couple has always been talked about, 'Zigi' as they are fondly called made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala last year where Zayn upgraded his tuxedo game by adding a metallic arm and his girlfriend looked stunning in a custom-made Tommy Hilfiger powder grey sheer gown with metallic details. When Zayn and Gigi aren't busy taking over the music and fashion world, they are posing for magazines dressed as a power couple.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in 2005

All of us dream of marrying our celebrity crush, but not all of us are Katie Holmes. Unfortunately, Katie's fairytale did not last long — the couple split after 7 years of marriage.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson

The only thing bigger than the Twilight series was the romance between its lead actors. Robert and Kristen met on the set of their vampire flick and their chemistry on screen was clearly visible even after the camera stopped rolling. Kristen isn't your regular girl who loves her floral skater dress, she's always had an unusual sense of style that she carried with complete confidence, whether it was rocking sneakers under her designer dress or getting a buzz cut. Robert added to that with his brooding good looks and mysterious charm. This Hollywood couple had a nasty end to their love saga, as Kristen was accused of cheating on Robert with her Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
