4 acts to catch at The Exchange x AVA electronic music conference
PS: It’s not just for musicians
Simply put, The Exchange x AVA is a music conference by day and a gig-you-absolutely-shouldn’t-miss by night.
Electronic artists and producers wouldn’t want to miss the opening address by Mark Lawrence, CEO of Association of Electronic Music. (In case you missed the memo, said association also features heavyweights such as Avicii’s manager Ash Pournouri, Ultra Records’ Patrick Moxey, and Nile Rodgers.) Plus, catch Lawrence in conversation with Nikhil Chinapa later in the day. Also earmark ‘Sync Or Swim’ a session that should leave you with a better understanding of music placement in film, television, advertising and gaming. Belfast based producer Phil Kieran will be joined by artists Sanaya Ardeshir (aka Sandunes) and Rohan Hastak (Big City Harmonics) in a session on producing and remixing.
Plus, you get to step inside antiSocial for the very first time – the new space carved within the basement of Khar Social – and catch some of the coolest acts. (PS: You don’t have to be a musician, or an aspiring one even, to enjoy this bit.)
The techno and electronica producer just dropped a new EP, Bomb, on Tiga’s label Turbo Recordings.

Irish DJ Jack Hamill better known by his moniker, shuffles between techno, disco and what he likes to call Galactic Funk.
This visual artists’ collective from Belfast has worked with everyone from the Red Bull Music Academy to the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Their music video for ‘Holiday’ by DJ Antoine feat. Akon reached the six million mark on YouTube in less than a month.
Sandunes (Sanaya Ardeshir) and Jiver (Jivraj Singh) team up for an experimental, ambient electronic project.
The Exchange x AVA is on March 9, Khar Social, Rohan Plaza, 5th Rd, Ram Krishna Nagar, Khar (West), Mumbai
