4 strength-building moves you’re not doing

Last week, we enlisted Ayesha Billimoria (you’ll remember her from here) to set us on the right track for the upcoming marathon, where she gave her expert tips on running (here’s what you missed). With five more weeks to go, Adidas’ Running Club (Mumbai) captain is now focussing on strength building. “There is a ‘primary’ muscle group that I can say helps you run. Your body is one unit and we need to work all of it,” says Billimoria. Here are the four moves you should master to improve your stride:

  1. Squats
  2. Lunges
  3. Single leg balance
  4. High plank holds

“Not only do they work your legs, but they also teach you how to stabilize your hips, torso and shoulders,” says Billimoria.Watch and learn…
