5 Celebrities Who Kept It Cool & Casual For Rhea Kapoor’s Wedding Reception

Whenever there’s a wedding in Bollywood, fans always look forward to two things—celebrities who attend the wedding and the style they bring to the party. Rhea Kapoor recently tied the knot with her long-time filmmaker beau Karan Boolani at her Juhu residence. Following the couple’s wedding ceremony, which had close family and friends dressed in their traditional best, it was the reception that caught our attention. The stars brought a rather unique twist to their fashion game.

With most of us being indoors in loungewear for over a year, slipping into traditional clothing can be quite a struggle. And now that the celebrities have also taken to wearing casual, yet glam outfits for occasions, we wonder— is this going to be the new mandate for Indian weddings? While we wait to see if this trend catches on, here are some of the looks from the evening that we loved.

Janhvi Kapoor

Who said you can’t sport light shades for evening wear? The Dhadak star opted for a sequined blue bandeau top and white, straight-fit pants.

Shanaya Kapoor

When in doubt, always trust a black outfit. Shanaya donned a black co-ord set with matching strappy heels. A neat, low pony and minimal makeup completed her look.

Khushi Kapoor

Cottagecore is still in and Khushi’s look is proof. The Gen-Z star-kid looked chic in a floral printed dress paired with kitten heels and a faux fur handbag.

Masaba Gupta

One of Rhea’s closest friends, the fashion designer threw her rule book out of the window and entered the event in baggy jeans and a vintage, floral top with puff sleeves.

Pernia Qureshi

The designer and entrepreneur aced a monochrome look with a white, structured dress and chose stilettos, round sunnies and a snake-skin bag as her accessories.
