Liitle girls dressed in denim and bold stripes flagged off Ashish N Soni’s show, called ‘The Inner Child’. Other mood-setting props included cotton candy and playground slides.
The beauty look followed the childlike brief with a bow-shaped top knot, freckles and 3-D denim nails.
The clothes, although, were anything but young. Soni added posh to bleached and perforated denim by putting it on ’50s-style dresses, peplum tops and smart suits.
Ladylike scalloped lace and broad stripes (think Obelix) gave volume to the sharp silhouettes.
Models made runs on rollerblades and skates, leaving the audience with their hearts in their mouths. Arshia Ahuja’s staggered, sliding walk was especially adorable, proving that sometimes fashion can actually be fun.
