Spencer, who plays a scientist, develops a formula to give ordinary people the power to fight crimes, which McCarthy accidentally injects herself, becoming the unexpected superhero for the commoners. Together they form the Thunder Force, where two middle-aged women team up to fight the bad guys resulting in a hilarious superhero comedy.

2 Ajeeb Daastaans (Netflix)
Four women with contrasting stories dealing with life, relationships and the turmoils that come with it. Starring Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkana Sen, Aditi Rao Hydari and Nushrat Bharucha in the lead roles, the movie taps into the grey area between black and white, blurring the line between wrong and right. Watch these strong women take on these complicated roles and pushing the boundaries around society’s idea of well-behaved women in Ajeeb Daastaan.

3 Shadow And Bone (Netflix)
Shadow and Bone is based on the best-selling Grisha trilogy books. 4 The Personal History Of David Copperfield (Disney + Hotstar)
An ensemble cast led by Dev Patel and Tilda Swinton, The Personal History Of David Copperfield is a classic Charles Dickens adaptation. It follows Patel’s life as an orphan, developing into somebody, only returning to be a nobody. It’s a slapstick tale of young romance, drama, and comedy set up during the Victorian era against the lush backdrop of Old England. If for nothing else, watch it for Dev’s portrayal of a charming countryman with long sideburns.

5 Nomadland (Disney + Hotstar)
Oscar-nominated film Nomadland stars Frances McDormand, who loses everything in the recession. The movie follows her as she embarks on a tumultuous journey through the American West, living in a van like a nomad. It sensitively portrays that the idea of home can be different for everyone, just like the concept of happiness. The movie showcases her trajectory through her navigation of loss and the ability to survive through it all.
