Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Sunday’s penultimate episode.
During Sunday’s completely traumatizing episode of Game of Thrones (nope, still not over the dragon), Arya and Sansa reached peak tension. By which we mean Arya accused Sansa of betraying their family, was all kinds of creepy about her bag full of faces, and seemed to low key threaten Sansa’s life.
So yeah, things are getting weird over in Winterfell, and apparently a resolution isn’t in our future. At least that’s what we’ve gathered from a recent interview with Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor, who—while chatting with Huffington Post—casually revealed that he filmed Sunday’s episode with Sansa or Arya’s death in mind.

“I love the fact that these two come back, they’re both lethal, and I just wanted to give the impression, as much as possible, that one of them is going to die,” Taylor said. “But you’re not sure which one…. Something is coming very soon between them, and it will be violent but surprising.
Wait, sorry, WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?!
Look, it’s possible that perhaps Taylor was speaking out of turn, or exaggerating, or simply directing the episode with the vibe that Arya or Sansa would die. But um. It also just kinda sounds like one of these two is meeting their maker.
