Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt modelled for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla recently marked their debut at the annual fashion fundraiser organized by the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) by having Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan dance on the ramp and Amitabh Bachchan close the show. Sussanne Khan and Sonali Bendre, who had opened the show, joined the festivities at the end of the ramp.

The designers presented their collection ‘The Golden Door’, with their trademark multi-layered embroidery, India-inspired silhouettes and intricate details on the surface embellishments, at the NSCI club, Mumbai, to raise funds for the treatment of children suffering from blood cancer. ‘Glamour and gravitas go hand in hand,’ said a statement released by the duo, who believe that their creativity can be used to create awareness and pave the way for a better life for those in need.
