Spectators had no idea that they were in for some surprising news at the presentation of Balenciaga’s Resort Wear 2015 collection: creative director Alexander Wang revealed that the brand would launch their next perfume.
The fragrance features a uniquely leafy green scent, with notes of lily, violet leaves and peas intertwined with woody traces of cashmir wood, cedar and ambrette – and reportedly took Wang two years to concoct. The artistic frosted-glass flacon echoes the marble tiling of the original Balenciaga Paris salon. Simply called B Balenciaga, it’s a perfect mix of the original aesthetics of the brand with Wang’s own modern vision.
The ad brings Wang’s Spring/Summer 2014 campaign’s model-photographer duo – Steven Klein and Anna Ewers – back, with stunning visuals of the model in nothing but a black veil. We can’t wait for it to hit counters mid-October.
