No drama here! Alia Bhatt just proved she’s still best friends with Katrina Kaif
No wonder she's everybody's favourite
The minute news broke that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were dating, the internet began its usual theatrics of pitting one woman against another. Folks surmised that Katrina Kaif — Alia’s erstwhile BFF and Ranbir’s former live-in girlfriend of a few years — would be none too pleased by this coupling. Indeed, the frequent photo-ops between Katrina and Alia had decreased significantly, and their Instagram messages to each other had all but vanished completely.
But Alia Bhatt is nothing if not a peacemaker, and she proved that there’s no boy drama between her and Katrina by posting this message to her Instastories.
Note that the two are wearing matching robes with the word BFF emblazoned across the back, a subtle message to haters who doubt whether the two can move past their overlapping love lives. In the past, Alia has been candid about her friendship with Katrina, saying, “I’ve known Katrina for a couple of years now. We’ve got to know each other organically. It all happened when Kat and I started spending time in the gym. Today, she’s someone who I can say is my friend. I know I can count on her when I’m in trouble and she can count on me, for sure. She’s got my back and I’ve got hers.”
You know what we always say, “Sisters before misters”…
