Known for his signature silhouettes that blend structural movement with experimental textiles and techniques – Amit Aggarwal‘s designs always aim to push the boundaries of convention. Expanding his horizons, the designer has ventured into the category of menswear for the first time with a standalone collection called ‘Victore’.
Acclaimed actor Vijay Varma turns muse for the collection that takes inspiration from the war we fight every day with our own yin to defeat internal turpitude and emerge victorious.
From tuxedos, jackets, waistcoats and bandhgalas to sherwani, kurtas, dhoti pant sets, long line shirts and kimonos – the collection comprises 27 styles across pret and couture. Making use of the brand’s signature metallic polymer, techniques like handweaving, handmolding appliques, 3D pleating and hand painting have been incorporated.
With a diverse colour palette featuring soothing shades of ivory, blush, beige and mint to bold tones of ink blue, ice grey, bottle green, pewter and black – the collection has something for everyone. Techniques like gradient painting and hand marbling have also been applied on silk chanderi, satin, mesh and signature handcrafted fabrics for a unique touch.
Dedicated to the deep reflective understanding of one’s own conscience, ‘Victore’ leads us down the path of what it means to seek victory within ourselves.
