Celebrating their 15th year in fashion, Lakmé Fashion Week has sent expectations soaring after choosing Anamika Khanna for the grand finale.
Here’s how we hope it plays out: Khanna’s signature, made-over dhoti pants. Preferably in everything from dip-dyed silk to frayed denim (one can dream!). High-necked capes in patch-worked prints and brocade. A collage of vintage tapestry fabrics on saris, voluminous skirts and crisp blouses. And the make-up palette for the new season? Burnished browns for the skin, brick reds for the mouth and teal blues for the eyes; all perfectly sync in with Khanna’s key colours.
Our fingers are crossed for March 22, when this epic collaboration rolls out.
