If you’re looking for revelations at Anju Modi, you might have set yourself an impossible task. But if it’s a winning commercial formula combined with expert craftsmanship, then you’re in exactly the right place.
Inspired by miniature paintings from Rajasthan, Anju Modi took old world influences and somehow managed to conjure up a millenial bride’s dream. The colours were fresh as a sunny day in the middle of August: buttery yellows, pistachio greens and that specific shade of pink that every designer seems obsessed with in 2017. Diaphanous fabrics kept things light and breezy, the backs of sari blouses and cholis elegantly sculpted to reveal gym-honed figures.
