Anushka Sharma just launched her own clothing line

From starting out her modelling career with Wendell Rodricks and making her debut in Bollywood with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi under the Yash Raj Films banner to turning co-producer for NH10, Anushka Sharma is leaving no stone unturned. The multi-hyphenate has now entered the world of fashion and retail with her newly-launched signature line, NUSH, which is her second entrepreneurial venture after her production banner Clean Slate Films.

“The idea of wanting to have my own clothing brand is something that I was thinking about from the past 4-5 years,” the star says. Inspired by her own tryst of being unable to find the right clothes that suited her sense of fashion, Anushka decided to solve that struggle once and for all, in a way that only celebrities can.

“Each one of us is unique and has our own dressing styles that suit us. We’ve tried to create clothes that you can wear to work, to college, to an evening do or even just to hang out casually. I have personally taken interest in the styles of NUSH, so there’s a bit of myself in all the outfits,” she says. Matching printed separates, midi dresses, short dresses, sweatshirts, embroidered denims and jackets make up her Autumn/Winter collection ’17. This isn’t the line for folks who are looking for a slice of Bollywood glamour, but it will find a following amongst people who prefer simple, understated and casual clothes for everyday wear.

NUSH will be available at Shoppers Stop, Myntra and Jabong from October 12.
