Not long ago we saw designer Anupama Dayal collaborate with Ekaya, and give us unexpectedly minimal, and pop-coloured Benaresi sarees. And now Archana Rao (of Frou Frou) and Ekaya have teamed up to create an exclusive collection of sarees, that mine the other end of the spectrum – think soft, neutral hues, with bright, swirling florals, and lace. Expect soft, sheer florals for daytime wardrobes, and tussar and kora silks for evening looks.
“Ekaya has always been a label I've long admired, and this collaboration was a wonderful opportunity,” says Rao. “Together, we worked on developing a fun collection, giving a young twist to traditional weaves. Our focus was to make a product that is wearable and versatile, keeping the look very effortless.”
