Ashish has gone all out with this one – which other clothing line comes with LED lights, fabric pens and towelling pieces? For his tenth collaboration with Topshop, the London-based designer is in the mood for summer.
Inspired by Paradise Hotel, a fictional resort with the best pool parties, the ‘Beach Please’ collection is all about having fun. Towels have been converted into hoodies, shorts, wrap dresses, skirts and even an eye-mask – all embellished with the Paradise Hotel logo. Apart from looking like they’ve been stolen from a hotel, they also come with naughty captions such as ‘Service Please’, ‘Do Not Disturb’ and ‘Not Now’. A range of jersey T-shirts, equipped with their own fabric pens add to the quirky mix. Fill in the blanks for cheeky inscriptions such as ‘My name is ____. My room number is ___.’ You might just get lucky.
Crazy, cool captions aside, we’re most excited about the pieces with LED lights. Fluoro bulbs light up buffalo boots, slippers, a transparent rucksack and a clutch, making them the ultimate accessories to own this season.
So what are you waiting for? Ready. Set (slip into a pair of the light-up pool sliders). Go.
The collection will be available May 29 onwards on Topshop.com
