Actor Athiya Shetty is not new to the ramp. Last season, she walked for Rohit + Rahul as the face of Maybelline New York, and at the current edition of Amazon India Fashion Week F/W 2016-17 she’ll be seen in the showstopping look for Namrata Joshipura.
“I’m super excited. The look is very inspired by the streets of New York. The showstopper has a beautiful silhouette and it’s very structured but it’s also very easy – that’s all I’m going to say,” says Shetty over the phone, minutes after landing in Delhi. “The energy is very different, when people are cheering for you. Of course I’m always nervous.”
Right now, she’s crushing on ombre lips, and Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gradation sticks. “I really like a blend of fuchsia pink and orange. It makes for a really pretty pop colour,” she says.
In her downtime, you won’t find her wearing heavy duty make-up. “I like to keep it natural and let my skin breathe when im not working. I dab some coconut oil on my skin at night, and I love how it makes my skin glow in the next morning.”
