Last month, the Paris Opera and Olivier Rousteing announced that Balmain would be designing costumes for Renaissance, a new ballet by Sébastien Bertraud. "Modernity meets classical, couture meets ballet" is how Rousteing described the collaboration. Now, thanks to his latest Instagram posts revealing the costumes, we can see what he means.

The final looks feature flesh-toned leotards adorned with jewels, studded pants, and very Balmain beaded silver jackets that look straight off the runway.

"It is an amazing honor to work with the Paris Opera," Rousteing said when the collaboration was announced, "There are few institutions that embody so well the essence of French culture and creativity. Obviously, designing for the rigors and techniques of classical dance was a new challenge for me and my team–but it's one that we very much enjoyed facing."
