My daily commute averages at three hours, and I think of myself as an expert at maximising time spent in the back seat of a taxi (watch out for my TED talk). It’s a well-calculated routine that includes snacking, Netflix-ing, and doing most of my make-up on the go. But when rush hour is as stress inducing as Mercury retrograde, I’ve learnt to be prepared for every situation. Will I be doing my make-up in the back of a smelly cab? Will my frizz reach new vertical heights because I air-dried my hair during a rickshaw ride? Or will I end up taking a train for a meeting across town and risk a complete make-up meltdown? Tried it once, never again.
