6 celeb-approved looks for the party season

It’s that time again; when we’re hit with a cyclone of year-end festivities along with realisation that another year is drawing to an end. Soirées ease into poker nights, and before you know it, we’re suddenly hurtling into a barrage of wedding celebrations that demand a shiny new wardrobe and fresh beauty looks to serve. And we get it, it can be all too overwhelming. So ahead, we rounded up our favourite celebrity looks for beauty inspo that’ll take you through this season of revelry

If you’re not too keen on dousing yourself in glitter, take note from Janhvi Kapoor’s easy look. Perfect for relaxed day events, the soft luminous face goes perfectly with a light-handed wash of nude on the eyes, a touch of black on the lower lash line, and a tinted pout is all you need.

Got a big thing to go to and little time on your hands? Pick this classic from Deepika Padukone’s roster of failsafe looks. This smokey bronze eye needs a brown base shadow and a shimmery bronze, and dedicate your 15 minutes-to-heaven to blend, blend, blend. Top that with a generous coat of mascara, and you’re good to go.

It’s nice to turn the spotlight on your pout every once in a while. Just do as Ileana D’Cruz has done here–a toned down, champagne-hued eye, lightly blushed cheeks, and a deep, dark red lip starring the show. If you’re into it, glue on some falsies for a touch of drama.

When you’re wearing something that deserves to be had some fun with, do it like Priyanka Chopra Jones here–with a pop liner and pretty much nothing else except a coffee-toned base shadow and matching lips. Surprise them all.

Love a good smokey eye? Here’s Sonam Kapoor Ahuja showcasing a heavy-duty iteration. Start with a strong brown base shadow, then build it up with a deep black, concentrating it at the lash line, and blending as you go. Balance that out at the bottom with kohl and more deep brown shadow. Thin black eyeliner with a flick, optional.

Yes, golds are great, but we don’t give a good metallic silver enough credit aside from the occasional liner. This time around, why not go full throttle like Kriti Kharbanda here. Try a wash of megawatt silver shimmer all over the lid–thinly lined, with a good helping of mascara. Don’t forget to add a touch on the inner corners, and keep the lips in the pinky-nude spectrum.
